Description
What is Andarine (S-4)?
Andarine (S-4) is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM). It is studied in laboratory research for its interaction with androgen receptor signaling pathways.
Additionally, it is a non-steroidal SARM investigated for its receptor-selective binding properties and potential anabolic signaling activity in controlled experimental models.

How does Andarine work?
Andarine S-4 may bind with high affinity to the androgen receptor (AR) ligand-binding domain, forming an AR–ligand complex.
This interaction induces receptor conformational rearrangement that promotes selective recruitment of transcriptional co-activator proteins.
The activated AR complex translocates into the nucleus and binds androgen response elements (AREs) within genomic DNA. This ultimately initiates ligand-dependent transcriptional regulation of genes associated with anabolic cellular pathways and structural tissue remodeling.
Research Applications of Andarine S-4
Andarine S-4 is under investigation. So far, researchers have found the following about the product. Though more research is required for long-term research purposes:
- Researchers study Andarine S-4 to learn its role in analyzing ligand–receptor interaction kinetics, and androgen receptor conformational change.
- In preclinical research models, Andarine is studied to investigate androgen receptor–mediated transcription. This includes modulation of intracellular pathways such as PI3K–AKT–mTOR signaling and regulation of gene expression networks.
